Welcome to Your Healthcare PlusTM Online

Your Healthcare Plus is a free program from the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. If you are asked to join Your Healthcare Plus, you can say yes or no. It is your choice. The Your Healthcare Plus program will help you if you have a health problem. Here are some health problems the program can help you with:

  • Lung problems like asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), emphysema or bronchitis.
  • Heart problems like heart failure, coronary artery disease (CAD) or high blood pressure.
  • Diabetes.
  • High cholesterol.
  • Mental illnesses like depression and schizophrenia.
  • Back pain, headaches and other problems with pain.
  • Other health problems.

Your Healthcare Plus works with you and your doctor or clinic to:

  • Take care of your health problems.
  • Give you information to read about your health problems.
  • Find services you may need.
  • Answer questions about your medicines.
  • Pick a doctor to see anytime you are sick or hurt or need health care.
  • Know when to go to the emergency room and when to see your doctor.

1-800-973-6792. Call between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Or you can call between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Document Center

  • A content repository containing all materials that have been mailed to program members. These mailings include introductory letters, newsletters and condition specific action plans.

The Library

  • This feature provides access to multiple sources of health and wellness education and advice topics in one location, either by directly searching within one source, or by searching across all sources of information. Simply click on the "Library" navigation to gain access to these articles and archives. The Library includes:
    • Clinical Reference Systems (CRS) Advisors - Provides information and illustrations for thousands of medical conditions, surgical procedures, and medications. These articles have been written and reviewed by healthcare professionals. Simply click on the "Clinical Reference Systems Advisor Library" link to access these health topics. You may search for a specific subject or choose the Advisor that best fits your concern. You can then select topics from the Index.
    • AudioHealth Library® / Health Information Library - This feature presents over 1,100 text and audio health education and advice topics. Simply click on the "audio programs" link to access these health topics. You can choose a topic alphabetically or from within a category, or you can perform an express or advanced search.
    • Cover Story - This feature provides a comprehensive health-related article each week. Simply click on the "Cover Story" link to view this week's article, and to browse or search articles from previous weeks.
    • Nutrition Wise - This feature presents a new "Nutrition Wise" article each week, with details on healthy eating and diet related issues. Simply click on the "Nutrition Wise" navigation to view this week's article, and to browse or search articles from previous weeks.
